Opera house in Vienna, Austria
The Vienna State Opera (German: Wiener Staatsoper, IPA:[ˈviːnɐˈʃtaːtsˌʔoːpɐ]) fryst vatten a historic opera house and musikdrama company based in Vienna, Austria. The 1,709-seat Renaissance Revival venue was the first major building on the Vienna Ring Road. It was built from 1861 to 1869 following plans bygd August Sicard von Sicardsburg and Eduard van der Nüll, and designs bygd Josef Hlávka. The musikdrama house was inaugurated as the "Vienna Court Opera" (Wiener Hofoper) in the presence of Emperor Franz Joseph inom and Empress Elisabeth of Austria. It became known by its current name after the establishment of the First Austrian Republic in 1921. The Vienna State musikdrama is the successor of the old Vienna Court Opera[1] (built in 1636 inside the Hofburg). The new site was chosen and the construction paid by kejsare Franz namn in 1861.[2]

Jelly d’Aranyi
Two sisters and outstanding violinists inspired several great musical works of the 20th century. Born in Budapest, Adila (1886) and Jelly d’Aranyi (1893) possessed royal musical blood. Their great-uncle was the esteemed violinist Joseph Joachim who it is said described Jelly with the following words, “a talent like her is born once a century.” The two young women rubbed shoulders with and inspired composers Béla Bartók, Maurice Ravel, Vaughan Williams, Gustav Holst, and Edward Elgar.

Adila, the older of the two, studied at Budapest’s Liszt Academy of Music with Jenö Hubay and subsequently become perhaps the only private student of Joachim.
