Sabina Yasmin remembers Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul and the song that made her cry

Sabina recalled how Bulbul, who passed away on Tuesday, had used his passion both as a liberation fighter and composer of the songs dedicated to the motherland.
When the duo began working together in the s, Sabina was already a star. Bulbul was still trying to create his ground, and gathered recognition after directing music for film Megh Bizli Badal.

Veteran music composer, lyricist and freedom fighter Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul has breathed his last. The musician died on January He called his personal assistant, Rozen immediately after sustaining a heart-attack. Rozen rushed to Bulbuls residence and took him to Universal Medical College and Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. He has for long been suffering from heart complications. Last year he was diagnosed with eight blocks in the heart.

Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul was born on 1 January in Dhaka. He was a Bangladeshi lyricist, composer, and music director during the s. He did his schooling from West End High School in Azimpur, Dhaka. He was also a freedom fighter and had joined the Bangladesh Liberation War at the age of During his struggle, he was even arrested a few times. Bulbul composed music for more than movies. Bulbul's compositions include many works for films, the first was 's Megh Bijli Badol.
