Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin (transl. There is no one like Jassi) is an Indian soap opera which aired on Sony TV from 1 September 2003 to 4 May 2006.[1] The series was an Indian-themed version of the Colombian drama Yo soy Betty, la fea.[2]
Plot
[edit]Based largely on the show, Yo soy Betty, la fea, the show follows the life of Jasmeet Walia known as Jassi (Mona Singh) who is a plain-looking young woman from a middle-class family in Mumbai. Jassi is a sincere worker and has been working to support her family. She is naive but intelligent. She has always been supported and encouraged by her father, grandmother (Bebe), and her close friend Nandu (Gaurav Gera) but she has faced rejection largely from society simply because of her looks. TV actress Pushtiie Shakti who rose to fame as Chhoti in television show Hum Paanch has recently chopped her long locks and goes bald. And if you are thinking that the actress let her hair go for some show then you are wrong as this was apparently one of the things on her bucket list. The actress shared her new look on Instagram and captioned it as, “April… New month… New ME… Ticking off things on my Bucket List! 1: Shave Head.”
Pushtiie has been away from the screens from quite some time. She recently did a web series titled ‘Aafat’. The actress also shed her inhibitions and sported a bikini for one of the episodes.
In her interview during the promotion of Aafat, Pushtiie had said that she was comfortable flaunting her physique in swimwear. Pushtiie is also known for her work on the big screen in movies Ishq Vishkk, Luv Ka The End, Aloo Chaat etc.
