    The Pink Spiders are an American rock band, formed in Nashville, Tennessee in [1] The band consists of Matt Friction (lead vocals, guitar), JoCo (bass), Joey B-Side (drums), and Young James (guitar).

    Matt Friction and original drummer Bob Ferrari recruited Jon Decious (bass) and released their first EP, The Pink Spiders Are Taking Over!, in The group toured around the Nashville area and an independent label released their debut album, Hot Pink in [2]

    The Pink Spiders performed at The Viper Room in West Hollywood on March 2, , after which they were signed by Geffen Records.     Matthew Bell, better known as Matt Friction, is an American musician, singer, and songwriter.[1]

    Friction's music career began in as lead singer and songwriter of the band Silent Friction. He later moved on to establish Garage rock band The Pink Spiders with Bob Ferrari and Jon Decious. During a brief hiatus in , Friction formed two new bands, Matt Friction & the Cheap Shots and The Dozen Dimes, both releasing individual material.

    Friction established the band Silent Friction with fellow members Nathan Hansen (bass), Kelby Caldwell (guitar), and James Nelson (drums) in [4] They played on a regular basis at venues such as NXT Generation, Indienet and The
