    Parvathamma Rajkumar (6 December – 31 May ) was an Indian film producer and distributor. She was the wife and cousin of veteran KannadaactorDr. Rajkumar. She produced successful films featuring him and their sonsShiva Rajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar beneath the production house named "Poornima Enterprises". Actresses who found fame in her productions include Malashri, Prema, Rakshita, Sudha Rani and Ramya.[2][3] She was awarded a doctorate by Bangalore University.[4]

    Amongst the awards she has received are the Kannada Rajyotsava and a lifetime achievement award from the Government of Karnataka.[5] By , she had produced 80 films. She has spoken in defence of Kannadigas, regarding Karnataka's position in interstate vatten disputes and against infringement of the Kannada spelfilm industry's works.[6][7][8][9][10]

    Veteran Kannada film producer and distributor Parvathamma Rajkumar passed away early on Wednesday at a private hospital in Bengaluru, said its spokesperson. She was

    “Parvathamma died at a.m., due to cardiac arrest after her blood pressure dropped since Tuesday night,” said MS Ramaiah Hospital spokesperson Prakash.

    Parvathamma, widow of Kannada matinee idol Rajkumar, is survived by three sons and two daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law and grand-children.

    “A cancer patient, Parvathamma was admitted to the hospital on May 14, and was on ventilator for the last 12 days due to multiple organ failure after the malignancy spread to her lungs and liver,” said Prakash.
