Betty Sue Schultz
Betty Sue Schultz, age 98 and resident of Gulfport, MS passed away on her birthday, October 20,
Betty was born on the family farm October 20, , in Ellisville, MS. She was the fourth child born to Melvin Clevious Parker and Sarah “Ethel” Sanders Parker. They called her “Baby” until she was four years old, then she named herself after one of her favorite cousins.
All of her childhood memories of growing up on a farm were happy ones. Her daddy and brothers worked hard in the lumber industry and on the farm. Her momma and sister worked hard too. Cooking on a wood stove, gardening and canning, clothes washing in the creek and Charlotte helping with her younger siblings and sewing. They were very fun loving. Her daddy would sing and play the fiddle while neighbors and friends would accompany him with guitars, banjos and harmonicas during their many barn dances.

Betty M. (Williams) Pepperman
Betty M. Pepperman, 99, of Williamsport passed away Monday, March 15, at the Presbyterian Home in Williamsport.
Born February 1, in Linden she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Margaret (Updegraff) Williams.
She graduated from Williamsport High School in Betty was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Pine Run Grange. She attended Lycoming Christian Church, where she was the oldest and longest living member. Betty worked at Brodart, and then retired from Liberty Mutual after 10 years of service.
She married the love of her life, LaRue E. Pepperman on September 11, and they shared 69 years together before his passing on May 2,
Betty and LaRue enjoyed square-dancing and traveling. She was often found preparing and enjoying holiday dinners and above all else treasured time spent with her family.

Betty was an only child and the light of her parents life. She had a resilience and zest for living every day that lives on with her children and close friends. She put her family first and made many personal sacrifices to provide a strong foundation for her children to find joy in their own lives and pass it on to their families.
Betty would often säga that she missed having siblings. She became very close growing up to four girl cousins that she spent every summer with at her mothers childhood home in Portage du Fort, Quebec.
Growing up in the nedstämdhet, Betty learned early on to use her creative talent to make things beautiful. She was a wonderful artist and learned to sew well at an early age. Betty not only made her clothes and her mothers, but also formals for her high school girlfriends.
